Chief Executive Officer

Ms Senikavika L. Jiuta is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), bringing with her an extensive background in regulatory leadership, governance, and the Fijian judiciary.

A committed advocate for fairness, transparency, and consumer protection, Ms Jiuta is the first woman to serve as CEO of FCCC — a milestone that reflects the organisation’s dedication to inclusive and progressive leadership.

Prior to her appointment, Ms Jiuta served as a Resident Magistrate, presiding over a wide range of civil, criminal, and family law matters. She has also held key leadership positions within FCCC, including as General Manager Operations and Manager Legal, Risk Management, and Governance. In these roles, she played an instrumental role in advancing strategic regulatory initiatives, strengthening internal frameworks, and promoting sustainable economic practices.

Ms Jiuta’s leadership is defined by her legal acumen, strategic clarity, and commitment to upholding the rights of Fijian consumers. She remains deeply passionate about ensuring fair and competitive markets that support economic resilience and protect the most vulnerable.

As CEO, she leads FCCC’s mission to deliver regulatory excellence aligned with international best practices while remaining grounded in the realities of Fiji’s unique economic and social context.

 General Manager Regulations

Mr Pranil Singh was appointed General Manager Regulations (GMR) in June 2023.

Mr Singh’s appointment comes after a distinguished career of over 30 years in the private sector, where he has held senior managerial positions in notable companies across both international and local stages.

Mr Singh’s educational background is marked by comprehensive management courses covering key business disciplines such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales. This diverse educational foundation has equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricacies of business operations and strategy.

In his capacity as GMR, Mr Singh leverages his vast experience and multifaceted skill set to oversee the FCCC’s regulatory arm. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the FCCC’s regulatory frameworks promote effective competition and sustainable development in industry, trade, or commerce. Through his leadership, the FCCC aims to foster an environment that benefits Fijian consumers and businesses, ensuring a balanced and thriving market ecosystem.

Mr Singh’s unique combination of practical experience in key business functions, alongside his expertise in supply chain management and policy development, positions him as an invaluable asset to the FCCC. Under his stewardship, the organization is set to achieve its objectives of enhancing competition, fostering innovation, and protecting consumer interests in Fiji.

General Manager People, Culture and Corporate Services

Mr Vinitesh Kumar was appointed General Manager People, Culture and Corporate Services (GMC) in December 2021.

Since joining FCCC in October 2017, Mr. Kumar has provided leadership in key business improvement projects which includes introduction and implementation of the Fiji  Business Excellence Framework and Quality Management Systems and has served FCCC as its Manager Human Resources since May 2019.

Mr. Kumar possesses over ten (10) years of work experience as a human resource professional, and along with his initial Degree in Commerce (HR, Management & IR) he  holds a Master of Commerce in Management and Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific (USP), and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Governance,    also at USP.

His expertise ranges from Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Training, Quality Management, Project & Grant Management together with Information Technology and Financial Management. He also is a member of Fiji Human Resources Institute, Australian Human Resources Institute and Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr. Kumar oversees the entire organisations operational growth strategies and is responsible for raising FCCC’s corporate standards as a regulator, and as a consumer protection agency, to ensure we continue to meet our strategic goals and functions.
